Unable to install psychopy StandalonePsychoPy-1.84.1-win32

HI !

I am new python and psychopy so I am trying to install psychopy from the standalone version. However, I am facing this strange problem where I am unable to install the standalone version. Let me describe the issue, whenever I start the installer the installer unpacks itself and it tends to disappear soon as I click on next, or accept terms and conditions or any option further. Sometimes the process reaches the installation process but again it vanishes without any error.

I tried the compatibility troubleshooter option but the issue remains i.e., the installer simply vanishes from the display without showing any sorts of error.

Can anyone please help me with this issue??

OS: Windows 10

Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-2328M CPU @2.20Ghz

RAM:

System type: 64bit

Graphic card: Intel® HD Graphic 3000

Graphic Card memory: 988 MB

I’m afraid I have no idea what would cause that. Normally the steps would be to try:

  • downloading a fresh copy in case the download was corrupted (but then it would probably not even open the installer)
  • restart your computer (it sounds a bit like your computer isn’t happy!)
