Hi how do I change my Pavlovia username? I have tried going to gitlab and edit profile, but there does not seem to be an option to edit the username
Have you looked under Account?
However, it make take some time for your username to be updated on Pavlovia.
Though it may also need a manual nudge from Alain.
Great, done it, thanks
But now unfortunately I cannot open up psychopy locally
Try deleting appData.cfg from a location similar to C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\psychopy3
You can usually find AppData by putting %AppData% into Windows Explorer
Thanks, I can now open up PsychoPy but get error messages if I try to sync with Pavlovia, or if I click on “no user” in order to logon with new details. Hmmmm. I wonder if this means I have to wait a couple of weeks for the change in user id to work. In which case I am in trouble and perhaps I should delete the account and start again?
If it’s urgent then yes, make a new account (with an academic email address).
I changed my username and now cannot sync with Pavlovia which is still on the old username - should I delete my account and set up a new account? - if so is there any way I can transfer all my studies already uploaded to Pavlovia over to the new account, or do I lose them?
Cheers
Please do not delete your old account if you still need access to its projects.
You could create a second Pavlovia account and give your new username access, so you can fork your old projects.
For the record, as is explicitly mentioned on the GitLab account page, it is not a good idea to change usernames, as many aspects of both GitLab and pavlovia.org depend upon it, and so there are unintended consequences.
I would recommend that you create a new account indeed.
Alain
Do I need to delete my current account? is it possible to keep the projects that I have?
Please do not delete your old account if you still need access to its projects.
Then what can I do? can I create second account to push new projects to?
Is there any way I can transfer my current projects to the new account?

to your new account.
