Still cannot lauch psychopy builder after trouble shooting

If this template helps then use it. If not then just delete and start from scratch.

OS (e.g. Win10): Win10
PsychoPy version (e.g. 1.84.x): 1.78-win32
Standard Standalone? (y/n) If not then what?:y
What are you trying to achieve?:
Launch the psycho2 for the first time
What did you try to make it work?:
Follow the installation and install it at C:\Program Files (x86)\PsychoPy2. double click the icon and trying to launch it.
What specifically went wrong when you tried that?:
When double clicked it, the mouse waiting icon showed up but nothing occurs actually. I tried all method shown in the trouble shooting

  1. “C:\Program Files(x86)\PsychoPy2\python.exe” -m psychopy.app.psychopyApp --> gave no information but switch to a new line in command line
  2. Cleaning preferences and app data. It is my first time so no configuration was made and no such variables ‘userPrefsDir’ exist in %APPDATA%psychopy3.

What should I do?

I stuck with PsychoPy 2 for quite a while after 3 was released - -using version 1.90.3. However, I moved to 3 last summer and am now using 2020.1.3 which is much better than version 2.

Is there a reason why you are using PsychoPy 2 and if so, could you try 1.90.3?

Best wishes,

Wakefield

Thanks for your response! I am now using PsychoPy2 1.73-win64 to use NIH-Examiner. This tool can only be compatible with 1.73.
