Psychopy 3.0 does not open

If this template helps then use it. If not then just delete and start from scratch.

OS (e.g. Win10): Win 10 education
PsychoPy version (e.g. 1.84.x): psychopy 3.0 (I downloaded StandalonePsychoPy3-2020.2.4-win32 file recently)
**Standard Standalone? (y/n): yes
**What are you trying to achieve?: psychopy doesn’t open in my computer. I got my computer updated to window 10 recently. in my former version of window 7, it worked well. But now it doesn’t open. I can’t get anything but small rounding circle next my mouse.

**What did you try to make it work?: I installed the python idle and It worked. I downloaded again multiple times. I checked the file’s compatibility problem, But I didn’t know how to solve.

What specifically went wrong when you tried that?:
Include pasted full error message if possible. “That didn’t work” is not enough information.

It is literally doesn’t work. when I clicked the file, there is a short pause with rounding circle, and nothing came. I wanted to try to access in command line but I don’t know how to do. teach me how to do. thank you for being interested in my problem.

Hi @inik_Kim, have you tried the troubleshooting page ?

Yes. But I failed to get it worked well. It worked in former version of Window 7, but it’s not working now.

I am having a problem with PsychoPy3 (StandalonePsychoPy3-2020.2.4-win32). I successfully installed but nothing happens when I attempt to run it. I get nothing, no error. I click on the link in the start menu, then the working icon appears and then dissappears. No window opens up. No apps blip into existence on the application window of the task manager. No successful opening, no indication during the install of file corruption.

This is a Win7 Pro 32bit (6.1 Compilation 7601) running on a Dell Optiplex 755 with DirectX 11 and the card is NVIDIA Quadro FX 1700.

I have looked for libmmd.dll in “c:\Windows”, it’s not there on my build. Also I looked for “userPref.conf” in C:\Users\LABPSI01\AppData\Roaming\psychopy3 and again it is not there.
I can open up PsychoPy2 on a sister machine running win7 but I cannot get PsychoPy3 to run on a different sister machine running Win10 (and I get the same error as far as I can tell).

I don’t really understand the following error message that I got by following the instructions on the troubleshooting page (FWIW: “Impossível localizar o módulo especificado.” means it is impossible to locate the specific module). It seems that there is a .dll file missing, do I have that right?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

error message follows

C:\Program Files (x86)\PsychoPy3>python.exe -m psychopy.app.psychopyApp
