PsychoPy won't launch

I have installed StandalonePsychoPy-1.84.1-win32 on a computer with Win8. I have also installed Anaconda python distribution 2.7. It worked fine until recently. Now, when I launch PsychoPy, and see the welcome splash screen, but there is no builder window or coder window. Task Manager says it is running, but there are no active windows or any other way to interact with the program. I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted, and the issue persists. Thanks for any assistance.

Hard to know why that is in your case. Iā€™d suggest following the troubleshooting section of the documentation.

especially the bottom section on cleaning the app data/prefs

${DOCS AND SETTINGS}{USER}\Application Data\psychopy2\appData.cfg
${DOCS AND SETTINGS}{USER}\Application Data\psychopy2\userPrefs.cfg

were hidden filetypes. Unhiding them allowed me to delete them and fix the problem. Thanks!
