ERROR: Pilot token is missing

URL of experiment: Sign in · GitLab

Description of the problem:

Dear all,
I’m trying to pilot my first online experiment through Pavlovia. I prepared the task in the Builder and it runs fine locally.

Nevertheless, when I try to run the task online, I get these errors:

I already tried in different browsers.
Any idea of what I’m doing wrong?

Thanks!
Silvia

Hi @Silvia, we are looking into this issue now. In the meantime, you should be able to run your task by changing the status to “RUNNING”. Tasks run for free until 1st October.

Hello @Silvia,

Could I check with you whether you are indeed piloting from the dashboard, by pressing the Pilot button? The URL it creates is time and IP constrained. Consequently, you cannot simply copy paste it for later use.

Alain

Hi @apitiot and @dvbridges,

you were both right and your suggestions helped me solve my issue.
My apologies on the trivial question, this is my first attempt at running an online experiment!

Thanks to both!

Silvia

Hello @Silvia,

I am glad that all is working now. Best of luck with your experiments!
Cheers,

Alain

Any news on this issue? I noticed the error does not show up anymore as soon as the status is switched to “RUNNING” (regardless of whether you then push the pilot or the run button afterwards).

Seems like no news on this issue…
but I’m having the same problem as Silvia, whereas in my case, accessing to my experiments through Explore does not really help to solve the pilot token issue.

This is URL for my experiments, and hope someone helps me to solve the issue…

Not through “Explore”. You need to go to your Dashboard and then the Experiments tab to se the controls for your study

Thank you so much for your quick reply.
Now I can see how to solve the problem!
