Builder experiment no longer syncing with Pavlovia or gitlab

Description of the problem:
My experiment stopped running online and came up with an error saying it couldn’t find a certain image (SAM_Arousal.png). So I replaced this image with a .jpg version. However, I am now no longer able to run the experiment from the Builder, as the screen remains on “initialising the experiment…”. I also noticed that hitting run in the Builder takes me to https://run.pavlovia.org/NikkiN/soder-test/ (where the html is missing at the end).

When I try running the experiment from Pavlovia’s dashboard it loads an old version of the experiment (and only runs on Safari). I’ve also noticed that changes I make to my Assets folder, where I keep all the images aren’t updating in the html/Resources folder.

Does anyone know how I can get my experiment to sync properly again?

Hi Karen,

Sorry to hear of the syncing and running issues. Perhaps this might work for the syncing issues?

  1. Make a new folder
  2. Sync your experiment from Pavlovia to the new folder
  3. Copy updated files to the new folder (but be sure you don’t copy the .git folder)

Thank you so much for your fast response! I think I might be interpreting your suggestions incorrectly… but I created a new folder (in my Documents) and manually copied all the files I needed to this folder, then I renamed the .psyexp file and opened it in the Builder. I then tried to sync this (in the Builder), but I get the following error:

I’m not too sure how else to do Step 2 (sync from Pavlovia).
