Hi, this isn’t a request for help, more just to flag an issue people might run in to.
In windows 10 display settings the default scaling is 125% for text, which if you don’t reset to 100% will change your stimulus size settings when running your experiment. There is also another tricksy subsetting in “advanced scaling settings” titled “Let windows try to fix apps so they’re not blurry”, you will need to disable this too, as it can also change the size of stimuli.
Thank you for bringing this issue to everyone’s attention. We’re aware that desktop scaling is affecting stimulus presentation and are considering ways to address this given how common this configuration is on Windows. I would also recommend that desktop scaling is set to 100% for now.
Hi,
quite sime time has passed, do you know if the issue has been solved?
I am experiencing issues very likely caused by scaling. In an online experiment, the images I want to present appear blurry on many devices, and manually changing the scaling solves the issue. Do you know if there is a way to automatically set participants desktop scaling in an online experiment?
