A student of mine is getting this error when trying to sign in to GitLab on PsychoPy. They are able to login fine through Pavlovia. But it does not work for PsychoPy. Image below is from what they have sent me.

This (I think) happens when the user exists on the GitLab side of things in Pavlovia, but the layer on top of that can’t get their details. Have they recently changed their username/email? That’s quite a common reason the two can fall out of sync; usually it resolves itself within an hour or so when the server does a routine sync. If not, there may be another problem preventing their details from being synced which we’ll need to look at on the server side.
I thought I’d caught this and handled it with a more informative error, but clearly there’s still a point where this TypeError slips through, so sorry about that! I’ll have another look at it.
I have spoken to the student and they did not change their email address or username. They used the one supplied by the university so are on our license. They were able to log into Pavlovia with no issue, but logging in on PsychoPy flagged that error.
Okay, we’ll need to have a look on the server side then to see what’s going on. Could you DM me their email address or send it to support@opensciencetools.org (linking to this thread for context)?
