Unable to download resource error

URL of experiment: ARIS-Recall-Task-Final [PsychoPy]

Description of the problem:

I am getting this same error message when trying to run my experiment that says "“unable to download resource” and “file load error” for a image in my experiment. The experiment contains 120 jpg images. I am not sure how to fix this problem, as the experiment runs correctly on PsychoPy but has this error when I try to run it on Pavlovia. If anyone knows any solutions it would be great.

Unfortunately we encountered the following error:

  • when downloading the resources for experiment: Emotional Memory Task
  • unable to download resource: Images/121.jpg (FILE_LOAD_ERROR)

Try to run the experiment again. If the error persists, contact the experiment designer.

Hi There,

There are many reasons for Unknown resources error. Here are details and a tutorial explaining the error PsychoJS Coding and Debugging — PsychoPy v2021.1

Some things to try:

  1. add all images in experiment settings > online tab > +/- icons to select resources.
  2. check the extensions are all the same (both in terms of format and in terms of capitalisation)
  3. Is there actually a file called 121.jpg in your Images file? (if you have 120 images maybe this is not an actual file?)
