Stop Rule Works in Preview but Not Online

Hello everyone, I’m facing an issue with a stop rule in my Pavlovia survey. I’ve set up the survey so that participants can only proceed to the next page if their score is equal to or greater than 15 in the first page. This logic works perfectly during the preview of the survey, but it doesn’t function as expected when running (or piloting) the survey online and collecting data.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is there a specific setting or configuration that needs to be changed to ensure the stop rule works properly when deployed on Pavlovia?

As an example, in the following survey, to proceed to page 2, I have to select the correct city for two countries. In preview, it allows me to proceed to page 2 (I get the ‘next’ option), but not when running the study online using the link: Pavlovia Survey 2024.2.0.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,

This appears to be a bug in the 2024.2.0 survey code. Your demo experiment works if you use the link https://run.pavlovia.org/pavlovia/survey-2024.1.0/?surveyId=531467d0-7443-4311-99e6-2a85a6b54156

Another possibility might be to have display logic on page 2 to either show the questions or show a message that performance was not high enough to continue.
