What are you trying to achieve?:
Hello, I created a Form component at the beginning of my experiment and I am trying to get it to fit the size of the screen. At the moment the form appears and everything works but it just doesn’t fit the screen so I can’t see the form entirely (questions and radio buttons).
What did you try to make it work?:
I have tried dozens of different sizes both in the Form dialog box (Text height, Size etc.) and in the .xlsx file. I guess I don’t really understand what these different settings correspond to so it’s been trying in the dark. I’m out of ideas as to what to try next. It could be an issue of the window size maybe, it’s set to [1920, 1080].
What specifically went wrong when you tried that?:
I never see the full questions or answers, sometimes I can scroll, sometimes not. I can’t do a screen capture, but trust me it looks bad
Hi @lcrible, I think your sizing issue is related to the units you are using. If you try changing you screen units to “height” in your Experiment Settings and try again. If this works, then it is just a case of getting the size ratios correct.
Might anyone have some advice about the size of forms using the (beta) Form component?
Using 2022.1.4 on a 1920x1080 monitor with height as global units (width of all items/responses set to 1) and I just don’t seem to be able to change the width of the form so all items/responses can still be seen… Changing the width for Size does seem to make the items/responses change the size of their frame, but the window/area does not change, so e.g., when increasing the width the left and right edges of the items/responses get lost. Very weird.
