Saving main experiment/application file

Hi everyone,

I am new to PsychoPy and have just created my first experiment. Although I have been saving all the way through building it, I am not sure where it is saving to.

There is an earlier version saved in my experiment folder (.psyexp), but this has an error message when attempting to reopen the file.

[error message: There is no application set to open the document “nameofexperiment.psyexp”.

Before I close the software, can anyone advise how I can resave the main experiment file safely?

Hey,

You should be able to reopen the experiment either by opening psychopy and then opening the file from the menu “open” point.
Or you could (at least on windows) right click on the file, select “open with” and try to find psychopy in the program list (or somewhere in your folders).
