I installed a clean install of Psychopy2025.1.1 in a virtualenv with Python3.10. That worked. Until in Builder, I put a visual.textStim on the timeline. After that, running any experiment (even without any components) takes a few minutes to start. Also Psychopy itself takes a few minutes to start. It seems that the function activatePlugins takes a long time to activate the plugins: psychopy-eyetracker-tobii and psychopy-legacy. Also this line of code:
from psychopy import visual
takes a few minutes to finish.
visual.VlcMovieStim doesn’t exist, it seems to be a deeper level now. There is a try to redirect some entrypoints, but that didn’t work.
