Pavlovia: Experiment inactive

URL of experiment: https://run.pavlovia.org/skeptikantin/ownstroop/html/

Hi there,

I’m trying to run the experiment from the PsychoPy tutorial via Pavlovia, but get an “inactive” message. I’m relatively new to git stuff, so I followed a number of tutorials. The experiment runs fine on my computer and as far as I can see, I have synced the local version successfully. Is this a temporary issue or am I missing something? I’d be very grateful for some pointers for tutorials on how to run experiments online via Pavlovia.

This thread Experiment listed as inactive tells me to go to my Dashboard to activate, but does not tell me how experiments are activated from the dashboard. All my dashboard shows is a git-style list of projects and some tabs.

Any hint would be much appreciated, thanks!

Hi @skeptikantin, you will need to go to the dashboard on Pavlovia to activate your task. You should be able to find it here: https://pavlovia.org/skeptikantin/ownstroop

Change the status of your task to “PILOTTING”. This will give you a URL which is activate for 1 hour. After 1 hour, create another pilot token by clicking the PILOT button on the dashboard. If you were running your task to collect data, you would use the “RUNNING” status, which from 1st October will cost £0.20p or $0.24c per participant.

Hi @dvbridges, thanks for that!

I now run into another problem, unfortunately (see screenshot). Is there any documentation that tells me what these error messages indicate and how to fix them? The forum posts all seem to refer to specific experiments that don’t appear to apply to my case.
