No automatic credit granting in SONA of psychopy experiment hosted on pavlovia

Hi all!

I am not able to automatically grant credit to SONA participants for a psychopy experiment hosted on pavlovia. I followed these instructions: https://www.sona-systems.com/help/psychopy/

To solve this issue, I noticed that, upon finishing the experiment, pressing ESC twice – once to exit fullscreen and once more – results in this “popup” message:

Thinking that this popup could relate to automatic crediting, I wrote instructions in the final page of the experiment to press ESC twice. But, for the participants I tested, it seems like this didn’t grant them credit. In addition, I noticed that none of my Pavlovia runs or my participants’ runs were “Submitted”. I suppose they were considered “Aborted” by Pavlovia, and I could find their completed data in the downloaded files.

I am not sure what to do, and, if you have the time, I would greatly benefit from any advice. Thank you so much for your consideration and help!

Some more information:

This is my pavlovia URL: experiment [PsychoPy]

This is my completion URL: $“ UCLA Psychology Department Subject Pool + expInfo[‘participant’]

(I wanted to include the following in the post above, but I couldn’t because I’m a new user.)

Dear Andrew,

For the last routine, just set it to end after 3 seconds rather than have them press escape to end the experiment. I’m fairly certain pressing escape prevents them from getting to the completion url, therefore they don’t get credits.

Oh wow, I think that worked! Thank you so much! So simple too.

I guess all online psychopy experiments on pavlovia should have a finite duration?

I see that the files are now “submitted” on pavlovia, which is nice:
