Music experiment and language issue

Hi,

I hope you are doing well. I have been serving as a lecturer in the department of psychology at Foundation University Islamabad for the last 10 years. I have published more than a hundred articles. I am conducting an experiment to evaluate the effect of music on semantic memory at the University of York, UK, and the Foundation University of Islambad, Pakistan. I have developed my experiment in English, but I have terrible experience building my experiment in Urdu because it isn’t supported in Urdu in PsychoPy. I am kindly requested to install and add the Urdu feature to PsychoPy. It would be a great effort for the Pakistani people. I am also conducting different seminars to introduce and teach psychology to the Asian community.

Register interest in translating the PsychoPy application into your own language(s)

An easy way to contribute to the PsychoPy project is to provide translations so that other speakers of your language(s) can more easily use the software. If you’d like to contribute in this way, register your interest here. It should only take you about one or two minutes. The only pre-requisites to translating are a native (or near-native) knowledge of the language you want to translate into, along with at least a moderate understanding of PsychoPy. Translation workshop follow-up

We have now run four 3-hour workshops on translating PsychoPy into different languages using Poedit, Git, GitHub, and GitHub Desktop. (example recording; slides) If you missed these workshops, but would still like to learn how to do translations for PsychoPy in your own language, you can email me at patrick.bolger@nottingham.ac.uk to arrange another workshop, where I can walk you through how to do it. But please let me know by Tuesday, 31 October.
