Microphone wav.files are longer and drawn out

Hello, I was using Microphone component in the Psychopy Builder experiment. In the wave files I saw that the length of the recording was longer than it supposed to be ( in sync with 7 seconds of the trial), but the files lasted longer (16 seconds) and the sound was drawn out.
If you have any idea what could the issue please let me know, thanks a lot

I suspect that this has something to do with a mismatch between sampling rates of some kind. For example, if the mic / your sound card records at 96kHz but tags the file as a 44.1kHz recording, this might occur (sound file being 2.18 slower and longer than real-time). What sampling rate is given in the properties of the .wav file? And what is the sample rate of your mic component set to (see “Hardware”)?
