Hi there!
I’m currently experiencing a problem when I try to view participant responses to my survey. Whilst all of the responses are recorded, they are done so in an incorrect order and sometimes numbered incorrectly.
The status of people’s responses are also set to “running”, indicating the survey is incomplete or not submitted when this is not the case as I have went through the survey myself and selected “complete” and it still says the status is “running”.
I have tried out advice put on here already, such as removing full stops from matrix questions and not ending the survey with a html, but this has not been successful.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated! Thank you
Please could you give an example of incorrect numbering? The data should appear with the question name as the column name. If you have multiple blocks, you should ensure that the question names are unique across blocks.
running is fine – the other option is piloting
incomplete is fine – it might mean they didn’t answer an optional question
Of course! So for example my consent form is all on page 1, with questions 1-12. Questions 1-9 are “Radio Button Group” yes/no questions, whilst questions 10-12 are single line input questions.
With the response output I receive, it provides the answer to question 1 but then goes straight to question 10 and then provides the responses to question 2 in the middle of my response output and responses to questions 3-9 at the end of my response output.
Hopefully this is a little clearer
That’s because the ordering is alphabetical. You could change the numbering to question01, question02, etc.
However, you said there was incorrect numbering. Do you actually mean just the order?
Hi,
Just the order yes. When I look at the responses it goes from question01 to question10 and then it continues to go in order until question02 is randomly provided.
