Issue with PsychoPy 2020.2.4 using MacOS 15.0.1 Sequoia

Hello!

I tried downloading an older version of PsychoPy ( Release Release 2020.2.4 · psychopy/psychopy · GitHub ) but see the following error when I try open the Application:

I have also included the full error message here - Traceback (most recent call last): File “/Applications/PsychoPy.app/Contents/ - Pastebin.com

I understand that it might be that this old version is deprecated and not be compatible with newer versions of MacOS but wanted to ask if there was perhaps a way I could run this version on my computer? Thank you.

Psychopy on Big Sur on mac

Does the latest version of psychopy work with the updated mac os Big Sur? Mine seems to be crashing at startup and haven’t been able to launch any of my scripts.

If you are currently using any of the following versions, I would recommend that you upgrade before asking for support in these forums. For some additional context, it would be helpful if I could run this older version of PsychoPy for the experiment I am trying to modify/adapt as I believe that it was built on the 2020.2.4 version so I was hoping to find a version closer to this one for testing purposes.

In that case I would recommend that you use a more recent version. This post might help you pick one.
