Imported data CSV Missing data

Hi,

I ran my experiment and all went well, except that the participants had 50 trials while in the CSV files I only have between 8 and 26 trials’ data!!! I’m measuring RT and scale ratings. Also, for most trials (the ones I can see in the CSV files), no scale rating shows… ie: from the 26 trials I found approximately 5 of the scale rates.
Also, some participants’ data files are missing (ie: they ran the experiment 4 times on 4 different days while I only have 2 CSV files). They are nowhere to be found in the Data file. I do have most of the psydat files though (even the ones for the missing CSV files).
This issue will skew my data and all my work will be worthless & uninterpretable.

Hence, is there any way in which I can recover the data? Am I misinterpreting the CSV data files? Is there something I’m missing?

Hi Joann, you won’t want to hear this, but this is why we test experiments before running them for real.

All may not be lost, however. Look under the Demos menu and run csvFromPsydat.py to see if the csv files produced from the payday files show anything more, and come back to us.
