Hello! I am trying to create a task in which participants respond “space” when they see the letter X. The issue is that I only want a keyboard response when X appears, but the trials will not work unless you press a key. For example, I want “H” “D” “S” “X” “T” to appear on the screen without needing any keys pressed unless X appears, but the screen will not switch letters from H unless i press some key. I tried unclicking “force routine to end” but it still won’t move on from the first letter.
Add a max time to the routine settings
