I’m the Owner of a Pavlovia project, but since yesterday I cannot edit any file in it. Every write operation fails, including the web editor. Account: @Emma_Pan
What I’ve already checked:
I am logged in as @Emma_Pan, and I am the Owner of the project
The pro@Emma_Panect is NOT archived (Advanced settings shows “Archive”, not “Unarchive”)
Project storage is only 1.1 MiB, way under quota
Repository permissions are set to “Everyone With Access”
It affects ALL files in the project, not just one
Symptoms:
Clicking “Edit” on any file fails
In the three-dot file menu, “Replace” is greyed out
The behaviour started suddenly — it used to work before
Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what could cause an Owner to lose write access to their own repository?
You’ve posted in the Pavlovia Surveys category, but what you’ve described doesn’t sound like a survey. Are you using PsychoPy? The expected way to edit projects is via the sync button from PsychoPy Builder.
To give you the full picture: I don’t use the Builder sync, because it often fails from my location (network issues in China). Instead I’ve been uploading my finished experiment files via the GitLab web interface, following a tutorial I found.
This worked fine until a few days ago. Since yesterday, the web editor tells me I don’t have permission to edit any file.
Given that I’m the Owner and all standard settings look correct, could it be that the web-based editing/upload path has recently been restricted on Pavlovia’s side? If the web upload route is no longer supported, I’ll switch to git push / sync — but I wanted to confirm whether this is an intentional change or a bug.
