Unable to access Pavlovia and synchronize experiments from PsychoPy

We are unable to access Pavlovia services and synchronize experiments from PsychoPy.

The issue affects both:

As a result, PsychoPy cannot upload or synchronize experiments with Pavlovia.

Observed behavior:

  • Pavlovia pages fail to load,

  • synchronization from PsychoPy does not start,

  • browser console sometimes shows errors related to gitlab.pavlovia.org,

  • the issue occurs without VPN.

At the same time:

  • gitlab.com is accessible,

  • general internet connectivity works normally.

Environment:

  • Country: Russia

  • Browser: Chrome / Yandex Browser

  • PsychoPy version: 2025.2.3

  • OC: Win10

We also have a license until 2027, but all designers have problems with synchronization and recruitment of participants without VPN.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Please could you let us know any error messages that get displayed or are in the browser console?

Does it work with other browsers?

If you can’t access the files on gitlab.pavlovia.org then it isn’t related to the particular version.

Does it work if you have a VPN turned on giving a location in Western Europe?

I’ve tried Google and Yandex. In both cases, the error is stable.

And yes, everything works fine if I use a VPN in Western Europe.
