Slider not working on Mac laptop

Hi,
Please see below for details. I am new to PsychoPy and do not understand coding so please bear with me.
OS : macOS Catalina version 10.15.5
PsychoPy version : 2022.1.3

What are you trying to achieve?:
I have included a slider (1-5) for participants to rate facial attractiveness. However PsychoPy will not allow/ register the mouse clicking on the slider, therefore a rating cannot be made and the experiment cannot progress.
No error message appears at all.

What did you try to make it work?:
I tried changing the style of the slider/rater (e.g. from rating to an actual slider).
Deleted and reinserted it in builder.

What specifically went wrong when you tried that?:
No error message appears (tried multiple times).
The slider still does not allow a rating.

Hi, can you try clicking around your slider about how its height to see if it registers the click?

And is your mac a retina screen?

Nothing occurs when I click around the slider either, and yes my mac is a retina screen.
