OS (e.g. Win10): Win10
PsychoPy version (e.g. 1.84.x): 2021.2.3
Standard Standalone? (y/n) If not then what?:y
What specifically went wrong when you tried that?:
The error information is as follows:
Psychopy’s Button cannot show Japanese normally? But Chinese can.
The error message in your post doesn’t match your question. You should be able to solve it by adding a single space.
Hello, I have corrected this issue.
If you enter a single space in the text field of the text box beta response.
Thanks,
Paige
Regarding Japanese vs Chinese, please could you show screenshots of the issue and confirm what version you are using?

As such, the Button does not display properly, but the Text component does
Are you using the same font for the button component as the text component? Those squares indicate that the requested character is unavailable in the font used.

This is where I find it strange that the text component will render normally, but the Button will not.
Text component uses Open Sans, button component uses Arvo. When I change it, I can’t work
Try Arial or some other fonts

I am having some problems with the Chinese language, not Japanese. Could you please send me a copy of any Psychopy file that you have that is testing something in Chinese language.
Thank you so much.
I have one multi-lingual experiment which includes Chinese.
