Psychopy Startup Crash on Ubuntu 18.04

Hi!
I’ve been trying to get Psychopy to work on my Ubuntu 18.04 system. The installation process was fairly painful but now that I can finally run the programme it crashed after a second or two when it tries opening the first setup window. The problem appears to be a segmentation fault. I’ve attached the terminal error code below.

psychopy
09:40:13: Debug: Adding duplicate image handler for 'Windows bitmap file'
09:40:13: Debug: Adding duplicate image handler for 'Windows bitmap file'
09:40:13: Debug: Adding duplicate image handler for 'Windows bitmap file'
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I’m running Psychopy 3.2.4 on Python 3.6.9. My machine is a Lenovo ideapad S540 with Intel® Core™ i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz × 8, running 64-bit Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on Gnome 3.28.2. I installed Psychopy by following the instructions in this topic.

This may be a newbie issue as I’m a complete novice to Psychopy. In any case, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Willem
