Problem ending the experiment

URL of experiment: metamosquito1 [PsychoPy]

Description of the problem: I tested my experiment and it was working well on pavlovia (tested on several computer). But when I put in prolific to collect data, among error, this one seems to occur ofter:
““Unforunately we encountered the following error:
-when terminating the experiment
-RangeError: Invalid string length””

I absolutely have no idea where this error can come from, any idea?

Yes it look like this! I checked and I don’t have any End Experiment code, I also don’t have code in the final routine of the experiment…
I don’t know where this can come from

Have you turned on periodic saving?

this experiment is under psychopy2023.2.3 and so I can’t save the experiment periodically

or at least I can’t do it directly on Pavlovia, is there another way to do it?

You said you don’t have any code in the final routine of your experiment. Do you have any code in any of the End Experiment tabs?

How does the final routine end? Is it via a timeout, user keypress/mouse click, pressing escape or something else?

I would not currently recommend Periodic saving.

Do you have any code that only runs or is different when the participant is from Prolific?

Another thought. Do you have a lot of media files?

Does your data file get very big (e.g. through saving data each frame)?

I’m wondering whether it might be a memory overload error.

Sorry for the late reply,
It was indeed a memory problem as my data file get very big at the end!
I found a way around it by saving periodically the data at the end of each experimental block
