"Previous page" button gone in survey within experiment

I have an online experiment that is performed after the users complete survey with psychological questionnaires. The survey was created in Pavlovia, then I added to my experiment using its id through the PsychoPy builder. I have a “start” routine, which lasts 1 second and has unrelated code, and a “survey” routine in which is the pavlovia survey added using its id.

If I run the survey using the link provided in the Pavlovia platform it works fine, but if I run the experiment, which takes me first to the survey, the “Previous page” button disappears.

Bumping this thread rather than creating a new one as there seem to be a couple of unanswered threads on this - am I right in thinking there is a bug that appeared around December where although the Previous appears in the Preview version of a survey it is missing in the Run version?

In survey settings I’ve experimented with turning on the progress bar and also with switching navigation to appear at top and bottom but neither had the side effect of making previous appears
