Do you think it would be possible to add some visibility on to the forum page, and to the post search function, to allow for users to limit searches to posts with a solution?
For the search function it could be added to the dropdown menu here:
As I see you can limit search to threads that have pictures.
As for the main page, just something like this:
To indicate topics that have been solved?
Issac
I’ve made a couple of edits to the solved plugin which I think might help.
Do you think it would be useful to note who marked the topic as solved? That appears to be an option.

From my perspective, I think it’s only useful from an admin point of view. To determine if the original thread maker marked it as solved, or an L3 or L4 trust user marked it as solved (I cannot remember which tier allows that).
However, I can see how it could be useful for the general user base. As most threads are not marked as solve by the OP (they just implement the solution and then never state that it is solved). In this regard, maybe when it’s marked solved by an L3 or L4 trust user it could be marked as “Possible Solution”?
Your thought?
Edit: I also think that is part of the weakness of the current moderation/trust level criteria. It relies heavily on user feedback; needing to receive some number of likes in the last X number of days.
I’ve added it. When the OP marks it, then they either mark their own post as the solution (which might not actually contain a solution) or they mark someone else’s, in which case it usually is a solution.
I give people (like you) permanent upgrades to trust level 3 if I see them consistently giving informative answers. That’s where your blue flair comes from.

I am guessing integration a visual indicator to show that a thread is solved (second image), would require a larger overhaul of the forum’s UI?
Awesome thanks! I only got the notification for trust level 2 (whenever that occurred), and had not noticed the TL3 upgrade.
I appreciate everything you do around here!
