Out of memory browser error when running experiment online

Hi!

After a lot of struggles I finally made my speech perception experiment work online. It consists of two rounds of randomized video stimuli (each of them approx. 3-4 seconds) with questions appearing after each video. I encountered some problems because some of the files were larger than 10MB, so I compressed them, now all files are about 200-600 KB and the experiment runs smoothly up to a certain point when the browser displays the “out of memory” error/can’t refresh/load the page…
Does this mean my experiment is still too complex to run it online? I have no trouble running it offline…
or does anyone have any tips on how to fix this?

What version of PsychoPy are you using?

I am using version 2021.1.4.

does this happen with every browser /computer) or just a particular browser (computer)? How many videos do you load?

Notice that compressed files might not take up much space on a disk, they are expanded in memory.

Hi!

I tried it with three different computers (all Windows OS), with Microsoft Edge and Chrome. It contains about 100 really short video files.
