OS: MacOS Catalina (10.15.6)
PsychoPy version: 2020. 2.5
Hello! I am new to PsychoPy and I am trying to get movie stimuli to play. All the movies are in.mp4 format. I am using the moviepy backend. In Experiment settings (audio), I am using ‘latency critical’ and the ptb library.
What is happening is that they sound static-y when the stimuli play (as in, they have a crackle in the background). There is no error, just that the audio in the movies has the static background noise/distortion. I have checked my original .mp4 files and they do not have the static noise that happens in PsychoPy.
I have tried playing around with several of the audio settings, but cannot manage to remove the distortion. Any help/insight is greatly appreciated!
