Hi all,

My lab is looking to hire someone to code a task in JavaScript where participants will be asked to identify fearful and neutral faces.

In this task we want to:

  • Find each participant’s perceptual threshold using an adaptive staircasing procedure (PsychoPy’s quest handler).

  • Have noise added and subtracted iteratively from the image in this staircasing in order to determine levels at which participants can correctly identify faces at a set percentage accuracy.

  • Use the threshold values to have participants make cued perceptual decisions about the faces
