IT Services deploying PsychPy - what version is best to deploy en masse? What caveats?

Hey,

I am recommending to IT at Birmingham University to deploy PsychoPy to all student accessible machines in the School of Psychology.

Do you have any tips / support for mass deployment. Should we pick a version from a few months ago with no known regressions rather than bleeding edge? They will likely be stuck with this version for a year.

Version 2020.2.10 is missing newer features like editable text boxes and buttons. However, it is probably currently the most stable for online experiments. If you are picking a 2021 version then I’d go for the most recent 2021.1 version at the time of deployment.
