Integrating Pavlovia and Shiny for near real-time automated data analysis and visualisation

Hi all,

I thought some of you might be interested in a pipeline we created that automatically gets result files from Pavlovia and uses a Shiny app to analyse and visualise the data. We describe our processing pipeline in this blog post.

To show how we implemented the pipeline, we have created an example simple/choice RT experiment on Pavlovia and have made it publicly available. In the blog post, we’re also sharing the script running on our server and the code for the Shiny app.

If you’d like to see everything in action, you can try out the experiment here (takes about 2-3 min). Upon completing the experiment, you will be automatically forwarded to the Shiny app where you will (hopefully*) find your results.

*During testing, the results have always been immediately available upon launch of the Shiny app. I do not know what will happen if many people were to try it at the same time though. :slight_smile:
