Hi
I am hoping for some tips to help me debug the following error which my collaborators get but I do not.
When my collaborators try and run the experiment below (on multiple computers) they get the following error immediately at the start of the experiment. The error has persisted from Friday to Monday (today). I do not get the error and cannot replicate (see below). I can’t go to their location and will only get an initial shortish video call to debug. I’m looking for tips about what else to ask. It may or may not matter that my collaborators are in the NHS (previously they were able to run the experiments).
Error message
Unfortunately we encountered the following error
- when starting the experiment
- When opening a session for experiment : lpzhaa/LNS_CoolHD
- TypeError: Failed to fetch
Try to run the experiment again. If the error persists contact the experiment designer.
I have tried to replicate the error and cannot. I do not get the error on my computer, on a Mac, on a home Mac, on a PC, or on a PC browser in incognito mode.
My current thought is that they might have a local security setting?
OS: varies
PsychoPy version (e.g. 2024.2.4 Py 3.8): 2025.2.4
Standard Standalone Installation? :Y (but my collaborators do not have psychopy installed)
URL of experiment: https://run.pavlovia.org/lpzhaa/LNS_CoolHD
Do you want it to also run locally? no, just via the browser
What are you trying to achieve?: I want them to be able to run the experiment. As a step towards this I want to be able to ask them the right questions.
What did you try to make it work?: I can make it work! I’ve asked them to re-try, and double checked the experiment on Pavlovia and their link.
Link to the most relevant existing thread you have found: I found some threads about the server being busy but all of them also say that it’s fine now AND I can run the experiment.
Thank you!
Harriet
