Hi,
I’m having issues opening the coder view or compiling the script when in PsychoPy. I have tried versions 1.82.2, 1.84.2, and 1.85.4, which all work fine in Builder view, but not coder view. When one routine that I’ve made on my current laptop is run on another computer, coder view/compiling script works fine for that routine, which leads me to think that the problem surrounds my laptop: a HP Pavilion with an intel core i5 7th Gen processor.
This is a screenshot of after I have clicked ‘compile to script’ on my laptop:
I get the PsychoPy coder window at the task bar but cannot see/open it.
Any ideas?
Thank you,
Rosie

Hello,
I faced the very basic problem.
I just started psychopy on win 7 x64 computer.
First a few days it worked alright, but it doesn’t appear on the screen out of the blue.
I don’t know what I did and I deleted the program and reinstall a few times, but still doesn’t work.
When I activate the specific file, it runs well.
However, if I try to make a new experiment by clicking psychopy icon, it doesn’t appear on the screen (still presenting on the task bar though).
What should I do?
Than…
Hi all,
PsychoPy has been working fine on my computer for the past few weeks, but this bug popped up overnight. When I launch PsychoPy on my Mac, the icon shows up on the Dock, and I can see PsychoPy options on the menu bar. However, the Coder view window itself is totally hidden. (For some reason, the problem goes away when I open Builder.)
I can work around this and open Coder by entering full screen mode through the menu bar, but it’s a little annoying to launch experiments from full screen…
Hi Philip,
I have the same problem.
Just go to the icon on your task bar, right click and hit maximize. the window will then appear. Grab the window by the top and drag to keep hold when it exits fullscreen mode. It will then miniaturize back to basically just a bar. Expand this out to whatever size you want.
This should fix it for the next time it launches, it did for me.
Hope this helps,
Tim
