Bug with Audio Playback in Image Recognition Task on Pavlovia

Hello,

I am designing an image recognition experiment on Pavlovia. The task works as follows: four images are presented to participants, and an audio file instructs them which image to select. The participant must then click on the correct image. The task looks like this:

The presentation of stimuli is procedural and managed through an Excel file organized as follows:

The bug is as follows: the experiment plays the audio file of the first selected element, then replays it a second time for the next trial, but after that, it stops playing the audio altogether. However, the image display works correctly.

Try setting the start time of the sound file to .1 seconds.

It works but can you explain me why ?

I think it’s because it takes a short time to get the sound ready to play. If the start time is 0s then it “misses the boat” but by the time .1 seconds has elapsed it’s ready.
