What happens to the resources on the participants PC after the experiment?

Hello everybody,

I was wondering what happens to all of the downloaded resource data on the PCs of the participants. Are these placed in the cache of the browser and deleted automatically after some time? Or are any traces of the experiment left on the users PC that they would have to remove manually after participating?

Thanks in advance for any clarifications regarding this question.

As you say, they are cached and that cache will expire at some time, according to whatever the browser normally does. We don’t/can’t store files in the users folders for instance.
