Timing Issues in Pavlovia

Hi all, I’m hoping for some help with timing in Pavlovia.

I have a very simple experiment set up in builder: A movie plays for 5 seconds, then a crosshair is shown for 20 seconds, and finally participants supply an affect rating. This loops for 14 trials. Information on movie stimuli is supplied by a condition Excel file. Everything works perfect locally, but when I switch to Pavlovia, the issues are overwhelming.

On the first trial, the video will play, but then the crosshair is only present for 12-13 seconds, and the affect rating is never presented. After the first trial, no videos will play and the task just repeats the crosshair routine. Why aren’t my timings translating to Pavlovia?

I’ve tried adding code to the movie stimuli section, like “movie.setAutoDraw(True);” which doesn’t fix the issue.

OS: macOS Sonoma Version 14.5
PsychoPy version (e.g. 2024.2.4 Py 3.8): 2024.2.3

upgrade to at least version 2024.2.4 and see if this solves your timing problem.

Thank you for the suggestion! Upgrading to 2024.2.4 created issues with skip logic in my other experiments. Downgrading to 2024.1.4 has solved the issue!
