Textbox (Beta) takes in previously entered keys

Hi all,

OS (e.g. Win10): W10
PsychoPy version (e.g. 1.84.x): 2020.2.10

What are you trying to achieve?:
The decryption that follows relates to a portion of a larger experiment.
In Routine X participants are asked to indicate whether or not an adjective displayed on a screen relates to them by pressing key ‘Q’ for no and ‘P’ for yes. In Routine Y participants are asked to recall as many adjectives as possible. Routine Y is using the Textbox component.

What did you try to make it work?:
Nothing sensible.

What specifically went wrong when you tried that?:
The Q and P keypresses from Routine X are typed into the Textbox from Routine Y upon its onset.

Hopefully this helps improve the beta component.

Hi Artur,

Please can I check that the text field of your textbox component is set to ‘set every repeat’? If not, what happens if you do that :slight_smile:

Hi Becca,

The component was set to ‘constant’.
Setting it to ‘every repeat’ seems to work.
I tried the solution on a reduced number of looped words.
If the issue comes back I will let you know but don’t see why should.
