Recover CSV file from log file

Hello everyone,

I noticed some previous posts on this topic, but I couldn’t find a solution to my specific issue. Due to a human error, the ESC key was pressed at the end of the experiment, resulting in a log (.log) file instead of a CSV file.

I’m trying to find a way to extract information from the log file and convert it into a CSV file.

System Details:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • PsychoPy version: 2024.1.5
  • Standard Standalone? (y/n): Yes / No (If no, specify your setup)

What I’m Trying to Achieve:

I need to retrieve the experiment data and convert it from the log file to a CSV file.

What I’ve Tried:

I searched for similar posts but couldn’t find a solution specific to this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What Went Wrong:

Since I don’t have a CSV file, I’m unsure how to extract the necessary data from the log file. I’d appreciate any guidance or tools that could help with this conversion.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Spamming the forum in desperation is not helpful.

Why don’t you try them?

Have you tried opening a log file in a text editor to see if it contains the data you need?

You could ask for help via consultancy if you are able to pay for the time needed to extract your data, once you have confirmed it exists.

If you would like to add further information, please do so here – not in another topic.
