Description of the problem:
Hello all,
I have posted a study online (stimuli = movie) but it does not play the movies when I try piloting it. The only screen that I see is my instructions (can’t even press the space bar to go to the next routine). When I click on the VIEW CODE I can see my experiment and also the recourses folder (which contains my excel sheet and movies).
Can you link to your code repository please?
Also what format are your movies? Some formats that work on Python don’t work on Pavlovia.

The movies are saved as H.264 (mov)
Save them as h264 .mp4 files. Pavlovia doesn’t seem to be able to work with .mov files at all.
Mp4 works just fine thank you for your help. I encountered another error. I am trying to run my experiment and I am getting this message (We could not find a record for experiment designer: undefined

Also, when piloting experiments is there a limit to how many trials one can pilot? I tried piloting my experiment with 20 trials but it stops after reaching trial 14.
Piloting should let you run through the whole experiment a limited number of times, but it shouldn’t cut you off mid-experiment. At a glance, right now it looks like it just loops through list.xlsx once, and list.xlsx only has 12 entries, plus a start and of experiment, so I think you just need to update list.xlsx or increase the number of times it repeats. (Though repeating movies has proven to be tricky: Feedback video craches when trying to play for the second time)
The error with “could not find a record for experiment designer” is a new one on me, and out of my expertise. @apitiot do you know what that’s about?

Thanks for your quick replies. I am still trying to figure out how to make my experiment work. I actually made a new account and uploaded the entire experiment (includes 180 stimuli) on Pavlovia but I am still getting the same error message (We could not find a record for experiment designer: undefined
