Manipulate images in PsychoPy?

If this template helps then use it. If not then just delete and start from scratch.

OS (e.g. Win10): MacOS 10.13.6
PsychoPy version (e.g. 1.84.x): newest
Standard Standalone? (y/n) If not then what?: Not sure
What are you trying to achieve?:
Our lab would like to use Psychopy but we had a couple of questions before embarking on inputing the project into Psychopy. We are looking to do a social science behavior experiment where we would be using a image created in Powerpoint that we would like the participants to manipulate. By manipulate, that means we give the participant directions and see if they move the correct object to the correct direction. Will PsychoPy be able to upload this kind of image? If it does, will it track where the participant placed the object? If so, how?

Your answers and guidance are greatly appreciated in advance!

You don’t say what you mean by “this kind of image”, but if you can export it from PowerPoint to some sort of standard image format (like .png), then yes, certainly.

It can.

That depends on how you want them to manipulate it. e.g. by clicking and dragging with a mouse, or by using keypresses? You will need to specify the task to get useful responses.

But if you want to click-and-drag stimuli, there are previous topics here to guide you:

etc

Thanks for your guidance.

In response to your questions, “this kind of image” was in reference to an image made in powerpoint that one could manipulate.
