i have problem with running my experiment…the experiment is a self paced reading task to measure the time students spend to understanding a word in a sentence…specially i am working on sentence processing…i divide sentences to some words…i put that words in an image by spinning tool in PC …then i made a trial…but at the end of each sentence i have a comprehension question…that the students should answer by pressing Yes or No…for each of this answers that are also in images…we should have two keys…when i put ‘y’ and ‘N’ in allowed keys…my experiment have not been run…i dont know why!
i become happy if anybody can help me!because its necessary for my experiment…

hi Jon, no there isnt any error, just it is not going on…for example: i put ‘space’ key for sentences, ‘y’ and ‘N’ key for comprehension questions in the allowed keys…when i push SPACE…the experiment going on…but when i put ‘Y’ and ‘N’…the experiment stop!

You’re not getting much help as yet because you haven’t supplied much detail. Try at least sending a screenshot of how you have specified the responses in your keyboard component.

i am trying to use Psychopy for a self paced reading experiment in a multilingual environment…but because psychopy doesnt support Persian language…i put the sentences in images…in this experiment…i have code switched sentences in 3 languages:Persian, English and Turkish…that i aim to measure the amount of time students spend on understanding code switched words…at the end of each sentence i have a comprehension yes/no question that they must answer to it by pressing a key…either ‘Y’ for yes or ‘N’ for No…but when i define two response keys in allowed keys…the experiment doesnt run without any Error…just stop!i dont know what should i do! because really i need this part to measure the comprehension of sentences with the effect of other languages(code-switched sentences) …please help me…if it is possible give ur email to me.

I looked at the experiment you sent earlier and you just had 'space' in the allowed keys field. We need to know how you are specifying that there can be several allowed keys.
e.g. you give descriptions like this:

but we can’t tell what is wrong from that.
- You need to show us exactly what you are doing.
- And describe exactly what problem occurs. e.g. you say it “just stops”. What does that mean? Does it actually end the experiment, or does it sit there unchanging?

Im using psychopy for a self paced experiment in multilinguals…because i use Persian language i should reshape it and enter it in excell app…but because the sentences are not equal in determiners…the psychopy show an default text…i want to dont show this part.
foe example:4 determiners in persian language and 5 determiners in english language…then we have question…between persian language and question…psychopy show a defualt text…what should i do to solve this problem?

This thread seems to have evolved and you now seem to have two current questions (one about key presses and one about displaying Persian text). Has the earlier one been resolved? If not, perhaps open a new topic on the text issue so we can keep the two discussions separate.
