How to wrap text in textbox?

If this template helps then use it. If not then just delete and start from scratch.

OS (e.g. Win10): macOS Big Sur v11.6
PsychoPy version (e.g. 1.84.x): v2021.2.3
Standard Standalone? (y/n) If not then what?: y
What are you trying to achieve?: I know that you can wrap text when using the “text” function in Builder, but it is not clear to me how to wrap text using the response function “textbox”. Participants in my study must input words via the keyboard into the textbox and some strings of words can be very long. Currently, the participant is unable to see what they are typing once the space “fills up”

What did you try to make it work?: I have changed the features associated with the “textbox” function but it does not seem to affect the text wrapping ability.

What specifically went wrong when you tried that?: I was able to edit the font, color, size, features of the box around the area to input words but I was not able to wrap the text for my needs. I would like 1) clarification if this is possible and 2) if possible, how I can achieve this.

Did you ever figure out a solution? This is the same issue that I am having…
Thanks!

Why are you asking participants to type multiple words with no spaces?

I did not realize that my graduate students were testing the script without spaces. :face_with_peeking_eye: We met earlier today and resolved this, but thank you for the follow up!
