In a planned EEG experiment, I want to present participants with longer sequences of a movie (lasting 5-10 minutes). Within this movie, several events occur and these are annotated in a separate file using different software (that will be incorporated in the analysis). PsychoPy only “sees” the video files, and as far as I could determine, I can only readily log when the presentation of the video was started and when it ended. However, I need information about what happened in the 5-10 minutes in-between. Ideally, I’d like to know about the presentation (or lack thereof, b/c PsychoPy also tends to drop frames from video stimuli) of every frame in the video. Based on this data, all relevant information could then be reconstructed. Is anybody aware of how this may be achieved in PsychoPy and what movie componenet could be used?
