What are you trying to achieve?: I was wondering if I could get the coordinates of a stimuli text, although the length of the stimuli varies.

Participants are reading stimuli and are asked to mark some part of it with a mouse. I would like to be able to compare the coordinates of the mouse_drawing/tracking with the coordinates of the stimuli.

What did you try to make it work?: I was just wondering if it could be done at all.

What specifically went wrong when you tried that?:
Include pasted full error message if possible. “That didn’t work” is not enough information.

In my free recall demo I estimate the position of the mouse relative to the text.

A also try to estimate to location of words in a phrase in my self paced reading demo.
The moving window version the phrase into words and has each word as a separate text object (with known coordinates selected to give approximately correct word gaps).
