Embed a window to web surf without iframe?

I would like to track users online interactions. I just want
timestamp url
timestamp url
timestamp url

I also have a slider in the same routine that operates continuously (using up arrow, down arrow) until people reach a threshold. I considered two approaches.

  1. iframe embed (cp. Wakefield Morys-Carter / Brookes Template 2020 · GitLab
  2. proxy link to external tab (click on URL in Pavlovia, surf until done)

I found all of the potential landing pages I would consider have blocks that do not allow them to be embedded in an iframe. I cannot host the content on a web page of my own to avoid this block.

I see many commercial proxies. My guess is that I also could not embed a proxy within an iframe? Anyone have:

  1. Brainstorms on how to structure this to be a low burden on participants?
  2. Recommendations for commercial proxies with tracking?

I have to say that I don’t think that your design (slider input while surfing the web) is possible in PsychoPy. How about using screen recording software which records the microphone so the participant can respond verbally – or over Zoom using annotation tools while screen sharing?
