Quick question: If we develop an experiment where we collect participants’ demographic information via Pavlovia Surveys and then send them to a Pavlovia experiment (via daisy-chaining), will that use up one participant credit or two?
Thanks,
Matthew
At the moment Pavlovia Surveys are free to run (since we are in an evaluation/development period), so you will only get charged for the experiment. Once we have full integration with PsychoPy, you will be able to embed your demographics survey within your experiment (and therefore still only get charged one credit).
That’s great to hear! Thanks!
Hi, sorry to bother you, I have the same question too.
Recently, I have used psychopy to build an experiment, and embed informed/demographics survey at the beginning of the experiment (which means embed survey is the first routine).
And I will share Pavlovia online experiment URL to participants.
So, I’m confused that, for now, will that use up one credit or two for each participant?
(For example, I need 90 participants for this experiment, then I should assign 90 credits to this online experiment, should I assign 90 credits to the informed/demographics survey at the same time? Which means it cost 90*2=180 credits to collecting data for this experiment.)
Thanks!
Hi. If your survey is embedded in your experiment using the Pavlovia Survey component, it should cost one credit per participant. Please get in touch if you experience two credits being charged per participant.
It would be two credits per participant if you use daisy chaining to redirect participants to your experiment after they have done your survey.
Hi, thanks for your quickly reply!
The way I used was embedded Pavlovia Survey component in the experiment (pavlovia survey is the first routine).
Thanks for your answer, now I figure out this will cost one credit per participant, I just have to make sure turn that online experiment and embedded pavlovia survey state both to running, right?
Thanks!
